Why I Cut Soda, Fast Food & Dairy Out Of My Diet:

For my entire life I have always loved dairy, carbs, soda, and the occasional late night fast food run ;)
I am Catholic, and decided this past year for Lent (2020) that I would give up soda. It was very hard at first... But, I started to get creative and swap out soda with flavored water and tea, which helped my cravings tremendously! Eventually, my craving for soda went away. Soon after Lent, I decided to stop eating fast food as well. I was only an occasional fast food eater, but I still would get it if someone offered!
This then lead to giving up dairy... I know all of this may sound extreme. However, once I started eating extremely healthy, my body’s cravings naturally changed and began to crave more natural foods like protein, fruits, veggies, and whole wheats.
Giving up soda, fast food and dairy may sound really difficult, but it is not as hard as you think! Just take it one step at a time. Seriously. The hardest part is being consistent and remembering all of this cannot be done in a short period of time... This took me months of consistent healthy eating and a few cheat days!
