For the past 6 months, I have been training for a half marathon coming up in May 2020! I am about 2 weeks out and I want to share my journey:
I had spinal back fusion around 10 years ago for severe scoliosis. I have always struggled with back pain, but I exercise a lot anyways because exercise releases endorphins which make me feel good! I started running freshman year in high school because the healing process from the spinal fusion (summer of 7th grade) was brutal. At first, I thought running wasn’t for me because I didn’t enjoy my track class that much in school. However, once I started to run on my own, I created my own beautiful journey and I never thought I would be getting ready to run a half marathon!
I didn't let the medal rods in my spine and back pain stop me. You can do anything you set your mind to, you just have to be persistent and never give up! #13.1 and #26.2... You are up next🏃♀️
